“How's it going everyone. My name is Lanavy, real name Lance Anavy and I'm from Darien, CT. DJing for me started in my freshman year college dorm at Loyola Maryland, first just making mashups on GarageBand with my roommates, and then getting a DDJ-200 and learning how to mix on a board. From there I was lucky enough to get some gigs around Baltimore at some college bars and some clubs. Since then I have played in NYC and played support for some really cool artists on the scene today. While I do love playing for the college crowd, my real passion lies in minimal and deep tech. Currently I am really inspired by any sound coming out of the UK really, I love artists like Max and Luke Dean, Tommy Phillips, Riordan, Ranger Trucco, and many more. I love the driving baselines that come with every song and capture the whole room. For me my favorite part about DJing is the crowds energy, the adrenaline rush I get from a crowd singing and dancing along to my music is something I chase every single set. I also love how collaborative and open the scene is, with District House being a great example of this. I am still very new with a lot of room to grow, but that's something I look forward to every time I open Ableton or plug in my USB. Hope y'all enjoy the mix.”
